Compulsory Internship

The internship is a compulsory component of the Bachelor’s degree programme in Business Administration. It is required for all students who pursue Business Administration as their major (see BWL Study Plan 2007, Bachelor level, Art. 12).

Students taking Business Administration as a minor cannot have an internship credited as part of their minor programme.

Procedure from registration to completion of the internship:

Registration must be completed before the start of the internship via the following link.

To be eligible for recognition within the Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, the internship must meet the following requirements:

  • The internship must have a clear connection to Business Administration.
  • The minimum duration of the internship is 12 weeks at full-time employment (100%).
  • The internship must be completed in one continuous period and cannot be divided into two separate internships.

The Departmental Office for Business Administration reviews the submitted information and supporting documents. If all requirements are met, written approval will be granted. The internship may then commence.

After completing the internship, a report of 2–3 pages must be submitted. The internship report can be uploaded via the following link.

Please use the provided template when preparing your internship report.

If all requirements are met, the ECTS credits earned through the internship will be recorded under “Internship” in the transcript of records.
